Ever-growing and changing needs of advancing technologies demand the 'creative and innovative' integration of basic and applied research with current engineering concepts. Inducing functionality while improving materials performance is a priority for this integration.

Nanomative is a joint laboratory aiming for the concerted cooperation of scientists from different engineering fields. Synthesis and processing of novel materials are investigated at different length scales for several emerging fields and applications.

Research at nanomative has been concentrated on electrospinning, powder synthesis and processing, tissue engineering/biomimetics and advanced coatings.

Faculty members of nanomative are affiliated with Middle East Technical University and Hacettepe University and nanomative laboratories are maintained on both campuses.
